Mr Olympia 2012 Predictions

So it’s now time for me to look into my crystal ball and predict who will be the top six finishers at this year’s Olympia. Just in case one of you thinks that I forgot about 4-time Mr Olympia, Jay Cutler, Jay is actually not competing in the Olympia cause he wasn’t able to prepare for it due to appearances and business matters. Oh well, there’s always 2013.

So, let’s start with number six.

#6 Roelly Winklaar

Roelly Winklaar Mr Olympia 2012

The top five is pretty much stable and impenetrable (unless something really bad happens) but 6th place can be anybody’s. Top picks for 6th place would be Lionel Beyeke, Shawn Rhoden or Dexter Jackson, but I’m rooting for Roelly because his arms are mind-blowing huge, especially those triceps. And I’m a huge fan. :D

#5 Evan Centopani

Evan Centopani Mr Olympia 2012

Evan has so much potential at just 30 years old. And he has shown that he could stand up against the top tier guys at this year’s Arnold Classic where he placed 3rd behind Wolf and Warren. But I just don’t see him beating the top four just yet.

#4 Branch Warren

Branch Warren Mr Olympia 2012

3rd place will be a battle between Branch and Dennis Wolf. And based on Dennis’ jaw-dropping pre-contest photos, I think he’ll win this battle. At most, I see Branch going up to 3rd place.

#3 Dennis Wolf

Humongous shoulders, tiny waist and huge quads. Third place material. Could be anyone except Kai and Phil.

#2 Kai Greene

Kai Greene Mr Olympia 2012

Kai Greene! My idol! Kai is the epitome of a zero to hero, rags to riches story and that’s why he’s my inspiration. He’s huge and full of striated muscles, but proportion wise, he may not be as good as Phil. I actually think he has a legit chance of beating Phil, so we may be shocked this year. Who knows, right?

#1 Phil Heath

Phil Heath Mr Olympia 2012

So my prediction is probably the same as most people on bodybuilding forums and Facebook – Phil Heath will win his second Mr Olympia title. He’s looking crazy huge in his pre-contest photos so I guess we can predict that he’ll shock us again this year with a never-seen-before physique with fully muscle bellies and striations everywhere!

In conclusion, it’ll be an awesome battle on the Olympia stage come Friday, 28th September and I just can’t wait! I bet many of you are at the edge of your seats too wondering who will be crowned Mr Olympia this year.

  1. I believe it’s going to be 1. Phil, 2. Branch, 3. Kai, 4. Wolf, 5. Evan, 6. Roelly. I think Branch will come back stronger, especially because he did not compete last year. Also I believe Kai could drop out of the top 6 depending on his conditioning. Wolf may even come in higher if he is on point and Branch or Kai is slightly off. If he nails his conditioning he could possibly take 2nd. I think no one will beat Phil.
