Hi, I’m Lai Wee Kiat. I’m a bodybuilder, (very) amateur photographer, fitness model, budding entrepreneur, Internet marketer, motivator and blogger. Yup, that pretty much sums it all up.
I was once a really skinny kid. Playful, naughty and always not eating enough. When I was 11, through the characters portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, I was inspired to build the physique of my dreams. One which is massive, rock-hard, proportionate, strong and lean. Since then, bodybuilding has been my passion and lifestyle.
Originally, I started Fabodylous just to blog about bodybuilding and fitness. But then I’ve learnt that some principles which are applied to bodybuilding can also be applied to other areas of life, especially motivation. I believe that motivation has a very strong effect on one’s personal progress and happiness.
In 2011, I was demotivated. I didn’t do well in my studies, I got fat and my health was going down the drain. But 2012 was a turning point for me. I have found something deep inside of me. It was desire to be someone better. Someone I could be proud of. Someone who worked hard, earned the respect of others and never gave up. Someone who deserves to be called a champion.
2012 is my year. I have achieve my best condition so far in Mr Kuala Lumpur 2012, I did well in my studies, I’ve gained many readers and my productivity levels are off the charts! I never felt so alive and motivated. What has changed? Me. And my mentality. It’s amazing how motivation can make so much change in one’s lifestyle and efficiency.
THAT’S THE POWER OF MOTIVATION!!
I want everybody who reads my blog to feel as alive and motivated as I do. I also want to show everyone out there that it’s never too late to improve and to live a better and more fulfilling life. Also, if you think you cannot make it because you’re past your prime, the economy is bad, you’re not gifted, you don’t have the resources or society is too competitive, then you’re wrong!
Your life is in your hands. If you’re brave enough to try out new things, diligent enough to make plans, disciplined enough to carry them out, strong enough to face any challenges which come your way and MOST OF ALL, humble enough to learn, then you can achieve your goals and be who you want to be.
Right now, I’m proud to say that I’m on the way to becoming the person I want to be. I’m not there yet. I still have several personal goals I want to achieve. And I’m working as hard as I could to reach the place I want to be.
I would like every one of you to join me along my journey to achieving those goals. And I would like to know your goals and endeavours too and make sure that the desire to achieve those goals is burning strongly inside of you.
